All of our rattan straw items are handwoven by individual artisans. Due to the fact that each rattan straw shoulder bag is handmade, the bags may vary slightly from the online image. The woven pattern is unique to every bag, this is what makes each POPPY + SAGE bag such a special treasure knowing your bag is truly one-of-a-kind!

Care Instructions

Lightly wipe woven rattan with damp soft cloth (no soap).  If a piece of rattan turns outward, trim with small fingernail scissors to avoid potential clothing snags.

We are currently selling highly on-trend rattan, straw, and woven handbags, each of which are handmade on the island of Bali, Indonesia. The women artisans who create our bags are both our friends and partners in our endeavor. Our POPPY + SAGE bags are truly a work of art – to see the creation process, the level of skill and love that goes into each individual bag is remarkable. At the moment, we see many imitation bags that are from lesser known islands where conditions of the artisans are very unfortunate. We are proud to give back to the communities who create POPPY + SAGE bags, and create jobs and guarantee an income for them in great conditions. By purchasing a POPPY + SAGE bag, you are truly making the world a better place for the artisan communities, for the fashion industry, and the environment.

Terms and Conditions

Wholesale Policies: First order minimum: $250 Reorder minimum: $200 We constantly have new orders, restocks, and styles shipping in from Bali to the USA. Feel free to message us to inquire what styles are available for immediate shipping. Most items are available in stock and will ship within 1-2 days of placing your order. Other items that are showing as "Available" may be en route from Bali, meaning they could ship anywhere from 4-10 days from your order date. Return or Exchange Policies: Exchanges: POPPY + SAGE allows retailers to exchange items from their first order, for other in stock items. If the product is not defective/damaged and the retailer simply wants to try another style, POPPY + SAGE will cover the return shipping, and the retailer must cover the second round of shipping "to" the retailer. Returns/Refunds: Refunds are only issued for any defective/damaged products that must be returned if POPPY + SAGE no longer has the same item in stock. Defective/Damaged Merchandise: If a retailer receives defective or damaged merchandise, the retailer must contact POPPY + SAGE within 3 days of receiving the shipment. POPPY + SAGE will replace the defective/damaged item at no cost to the retailer (POPPY + SAGE covers return shipping of the defective/damaged item, and covers shipping of the replacement item). If the item is not in stock at the time, the retailer can choose to ship the defective item back to POPPY + SAGE (for inspection) and receive a refund for the cost of the item, or the retailer can choose another item at the same value. POPPY + SAGE to cover associated shipping costs.
