Rachel Elise is a small batch bag studio, making durable, hand-printed bags in the mountains of North Carolina. Rachel and Bo Aughtry are the husband and wife team behind the brand and design, screenprint, and sew each bag from start to finish. We pair our geometric and nature-inspired prints with waxed canvas and other durable materials to create pieces that are equally focused on style and functionality. As an added bonus, all our products are made with 100% vegan materials.

Rachel Elise was founded in 2008 while owner and maker Rachel Aughtry was earning her BFA in Fiber Art. Combining the skills from her degree with her life-long love of sewing, she started selling a collection of bags at the neighborhood coffee shop. Upon graduation, Rachel decided to run her business full time. Many stockists later (including a few more coffee shops!), Rachel’s husband Bo was able to quit his job and work at Rachel Elise as well. They soon relocated their studio to the Blue Ridge Mountains, where they sew, print, and ship each and every Rachel Elise bag.

Because we make most products when they are ordered, our lead time is usually 10-14 calendar days. We allow returns within 10 days of delivery with a 15% restocking fee. All other payments will be reimbursed upon the return of product, sans shipping fees.
