Even if your wholesale orders for the Holidays ship out in October, your retail customers will still be placing orders for their loved ones right up until the last minute. Even though wholesale order deadlines for the holidays will have most likely come and gone for your bra, this is still a busy time for your retail business. Customers will be placing orders right up until the last minute for those gifts they either couldn’t make up their mind on or just forgot about.
Don’t let shipping deadlines catch you or them unawares and make sure you can offer the right shipping options for your customers no matter when they order. We’ve put together a handy little calendar of all the shipping deadline dates for USPS, FedEx, and UPS. Feel free to share it with your maker friends to help them stay up to date also!
Save a copy to your computer and set it as your desktop background so you always know when the deadlines are. On your phone? Long press on the calendar to save it to your camera roll!
FedEx has the most options of all of the carriers when it comes to last minute options, so if someone is really concerned about it getting to their recipient on time, you may want to steer them in that direction.
Most of your customers are likely to want to use USPS for shipping as they are usually the least expensive option, but keep in mind the shipping delays we have been experiencing due to COVID-19 and be sure to include a disclaimer on your listings (and possibly even in your follow up communications with buyers) that you are not responsible for shipping delays caused by the carrier.
