About My Business
Thumbprint Soap was born from a desire to use fewer toxic ingredients in my day-to-day routine. I started off buying handmade soaps, but after seeing how beautiful they could be, I just had to learn how to make it myself. So I learned and then I reformulated until I created a product that I love using every day. My brand name came from the notion that no two bars of soap are exactly the same, just like snowflakes or fingerprints. We believe that “Unique is Beautiful” – whether it comes to the uniqueness of each individual soap bar or the unique individuals who buy them.
When choosing ingredients, I make sure that everything is free of phthalates and parabens; and I avoid palm oil as much as possible. I’m proud to say that my product offering has grown quite a bit since 2013, but making soap is still my favorite part. I’m also happy to be able to donate a portion of my sales to animal rescues. Dogs are a source of joy in my life, and it’s important for me to give back to those who don’t have a family yet.
