About fifteen years ago I began making handcrafts as a sort of mental therapy. Like most things in life, I taught myself. Creating objects of beauty is a wonderful thing. It is even more beautiful when a person’s eyes brighten up when they see it. I’ve sold items at many fairs, online and offline. My small business has evolved over the years as I have expanded my knowledge in handcrafting. My current obsession is creating cards. As an African American woman it is difficult for me to find cards and jewelry that display my culture. I have undertaken this additionally as a part of my crafting journey. I believe all people regardless of race, sexual orientation, or religion should be able to be loved, represented, and validated in the handcrafting industry as well as life. I live in Cape Cod, MA. The summers are sweet and the winters are angry. The sea has no mercy- it can be brutal or tame-but it suits me just fine. My crafts show a mix of all that is me- my culture, my childhood, my life. Thank you for visiting.
